Job description: Senior Customer Service Host — Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells Fixed term, October to December Yellow by Keep It Local is a shop with a difference. Under one roof we bring together the work of hundreds of small independent stockists and creative businesses — art, gifts, homeware, jewellery, food and more — and give them a place on the high street. We have stores in Stoke-on-Trent, Warrington and here in Royal Victoria Place Shopping Centre, Tunbridge Wells. We’re looking for a Senior Customer Service Host to join our Tunbridge Wells team for our busiest trading period of the year. WHAT THE JOB INVOLVES – Greeting, assisting and serving customers – Handling cash and card payments on the till – Restocking and merchandising displays – Keeping the store clean and well presented – Opening and closing the store – Cashing up at the end of the day This is a keyholder role, so you’ll be responsible for opening and closing and will sometimes be working on your own in the store. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR – Some previous retail or customer-facing experience – Confidence working on your own and taking responsibility for the store – Availability across 2 to 3 days a week, including weekends – Someone reliable — our stockists and our customers depend on the shop being open, tidy and well looked after – An interest in small creative businesses and the people behind them would be a bonus. THE DETAILS – Location: Yellow by Keep It Local, Royal Victoria Place Shopping Centre, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2SS – Contract: fixed term, three months from 1 October – Hours: 6 hours per week contracted, with additional hours available across the Christmas period – Pay: £12.85 per hour – Reports to: Store Team Leader Offer subject to proof of right to work in the UK and satisfactory references.
