Job description: Job Overview Zerdo is a premium Spanish deli & coffee shop located in Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells. We specialise in Iberico ham, Spanish cheeses, artisan olives, sandwiches and speciality coffee.
We are looking for a full-time Shop Assistant to join our small and friendly team. This is a hands-on role in a busy deli & coffee environment where quality, presentation and customer experience are very important. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys food, coffee and working directly with customers.
What you’ll be doing: Serving customers at the deli counter and coffee bar Preparing sandwiches, toasties and simple food items
Making coffee and hot drinks
Offering and serving cold drinks, including Monster Energy Slicing and packaging deli products (training provided)
Keeping the shop clean, organised and well presented
Restocking shelves and maintaining attractive displays Using the till and handling payments Helping create a welcoming atmosphere for customers
Requirements (Must have):
Previous experience in retail, hospitality or food service Confident dealing with customers and working in a busy shop
Reliable, punctual and hard-working
Able to work weekends
Nice to have (not essential):
Barista experience
Sales experience is highly appreciated Interest in food, deli products or coffee
Experience working in a small independent business
