Fearless Fox and the Christmas Star is a magical sequel from the creative team that brought you the hit show Little Owl and the Christmas Lights. In a bold and exciting move, this year’sproduction will be taking place in The Little Vic Theatre, a new pop-up theatrical and performance space located in the upper mall of the Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells. This exciting initiative further illustrates how retail and cultural events can be combined to deliver new and unique experiences for the public.

We are very lucky to have a forward-thinking Culture team that is keen to take performance out of conventional theatre spaces and into our newly acquired shopping centre, helping make live theatre more accessible and enabling us to reach new audiences. Produced and commissioned by the Assembly Hall Theatre, this visually stunning production is specifically created for the younger members of the family and is the perfect first introduction to theatre and live performance. The show builds on the sell-out success of Little Owl and the Christmas Lights, performed at The Amelia Scott last year, introducing nurseries, school and family audiences to the lovable character of Owl and their group of woodland friends.
The show has been created by a first-class professional team including local actor/puppeteer Katie Haygarth; original songs and musical direction by Gary Jerry; puppetry by Jimmy Grimes (War Horse) and animations and motion graphics by Simon Cossons
This year Fox is in charge of planning the best Christmas party ever but can’t seem to find the right decorations. All that changes when they spot a beautiful golden star on top of a Christmas tree in the town. Together with their friends – Squirrel, Old Deer and Little Owl – they hatch a harebrained plan to steal the star just in time for Christmas. What could possibly go wrong?!
The Little Vic Theatre is located in the Upper Mall in Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells.
This enchanting family show will delight children of all ages and will be performed from Wednesday 4 December – Sunday 29 December. The running time is approximately 40 minutes.
There will be relaxed performances to tie in with the Quiet Shopping sessions offered by RVP every Tuesday morning and three BSL performances on Thursday 19th December.
