Royal Victoria Place is delighted to welcome Poundstretcher to the shopping centre following the RVP’s recent acquisition by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.
Poundstretcher will be opening their new store on the Lower Mall with massive store opening offers. The growing family business, which was established over 40 years ago, is coming to town with a large and bright store as well as a wide choice of brands within Household Products, Food and Drinks, Homeware, Everyday Essentials, Electrical Goods and Seasonal Ranges.
The Grand Opening will take place on Saturday 3rd February at 10am and Mayor Hugh Patterson has confirmed his attendance for the ribbon cutting ceremony. The first arrivals will be welcomed by a local Entertainer running games and activities with £250 worth of Poundstretcher shopping vouchers up for grabs.
The store will be running a Charity Trolley Dash for the benefit of a local charity where customers will be given the opportunity to fill their trolley with as many products as possible within 60 seconds.
Regional Director, Shahid Kissay commented: “We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new Poundstretcher store in Tunbridge Wells, marking the successful transformation of our 6th former Wilko location in just a few weeks. I would like to personally thank my extraordinary team, who made sure we get our new stores ready in short notice. They are working hard to keep the High Streets alive and provide continued service to customers from all local communities.”
Nicky Blanchard, Centre Manager at Royal Victoria Place, said: “It’s wonderful to be welcoming Poundstretcher, a brand new retailer to the town and centre. They will be occupying the space that was recently vacated by Wilko on the Lower Mall. We are also thrilled to hear that they have welcomed former Wilko employees to their team. Welcome to Poundstretcher.”
